ROTEC 2024: A Year of Impact and Innovation in Water Treatment
2024 has been a milestone year for ROTEC, marked by groundbreaking projects and advancements in water treatment technologies. From tackling complex water challenges to achieving new benchmarks in efficiency and sustainability, ROTEC continues to shape the future of water reuse and purification. Across the globe, our solutions have made significant impacts.
In the US, at the Arlington Power Plant, ROTEC played a key role in upgrading a HERO zero liquid discharge process, replacing outdated RO units to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability for critical energy production. In Northern California, our Flow Reversal RO (FR-RO) technology helped one of the world’s leading tech companies recycle 1 million gallons of water per day for reuse.
In India, ROTEC partnered with MWTS to deliver a custom solution for a beverage manufacturer in the food and beverage sector, boosting recovery rates and operational reliability. Meanwhile, in Cebu, Philippines, we reached new milestones in ultra-pure water solutions with the award of a prestigious semiconductor project in Asia, underscoring our leadership in this critical market.
ROTEC has also been at the forefront of PFAS removal, deploying
demonstration units at five sites in 2024. These systems have been working side by side with existing units and work to provide nearly 200 million gallons of clean drinking water daily, delivering safer and more sustainable water supplies to communities. Our FR-RO technology also demonstrated exceptional performance in removing 1,4-dioxane, achieving removal rates above 92% at 95% recovery, proving its effectiveness as a replacement for lime softening in high-recovery nanofiltration applications.
In a landmark project, ROTEC completed the fabrication of a 44 MGD Mega Skid for a large-scale water reuse plant in partnership with PUB in the Philippines. This cutting-edge installation is designed to support the region’s growing demand for sustainable water management by enabling the reuse of millions of gallons of treated water daily.
